History of the Institution

In the year 2004, Ps Sunny Abraham and his family dedicated their life and mission in reaching the lost in India. The ministry of Great Harvest initially began in the slums of Chennai; reaching the children and planting a church in the following year.

During the ministry, the Lord envisioned Ps Sunny Abraham to understand the importance of placing a strong foundation to start a mission-focused centre in India. Thus, in the year 2010 Ps Sunny Abraham along with a team of likeminded people gathered together to prayerfully establish a mission focused centre for theological training. The vision was to establish a higher theological training centre to equip people to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Great Harvest Bible College began with the conviction that the native churches needed effective native leaders to lead in India.

Thus the following year (2011), with the enthusiastic support from church leaders and prospective students, Great Harvest Bible College was started with a one year course module in Morai Village, Avadi IAF, India.

Great Harvest Bible College spreads over 5 acres of landscaped campus with Chapel, Office, Separate Hostels for Men and Women, Dining hall and Play area.

Following, Ps Sunny Abraham (Director) and Ps Samuel Christian (Principal) served consecutively to led the college towards the rightful direction.
